I had gone to this huge wine store in VA where we had a wine expert helping myself and my Bil. They had some great prices on the higher end wines but I started to see the cheap wines that normally sell for $6 to $7 in NY selling for $11 to $12 there. I asked what was up with that, His answer was no one was buying it because they thought it was a cheap wine, they doubled the price and now there selling it off the shelves. another reason is people do not want to bring a cheap bottle to someones house they rather spend over ten then under ten. The wine that I am talking about has been one of my favorites whites for years you might have heard of it Ruffino Orvieto.
