  • Cheapskate Wednesday tomorrow

    www.winestilsoldout.com

Tomorrow is Cheapskate Wednesday. This is a marathon event consisting of the last few cases of past favorites, as well as new selections that you are sure to love.
For our newer members, this is the way it works; Cheapskate Wednesday is a marathon type event in the way it runs, but not in its content. My staff and I have tasted over 400 wines from around the world and picked what we believe is to be the best 48 to 60 wines for $6.99-$16.99 each, DELIVERED TO YOUR DOOR. This was not an easy task (there were a lot of very woozy people around here for a while). What we believe we have achieved is to give you a great selection of varieties that you may or may not have tasted before, but that will absolutely blow you away at these prices.

YOU WILL RECEIVE ONLY ONE EMAIL TO SIGNAL THE START OF THE EVENT.

The event will start as always at midnight eastern. From 12:01AM to 9:00AM there will be a new wine presented on the site every 30 minutes. The wines will not change even if they sell out. At 9:00 AM the wines will be replaced when sold out, or every 20 minutes, whichever comes first. This lasts until 11:59 PM. The wines will have a picture of the label and a very good description, as well as rating (if one could be found). All the wines will have a 4 BOTTLE MINIMUM FOR FREE SHIPPING and air is available for an additional $2.75 per bottle if you so choose. Orders CANNOT be combined for free shipping.

We will ship all orders by Wednesday, April 16th. Feel free to ask any questions and we will try to answer them. We wish all of you good luck and hope you all get the wines you wish for. Thank you again for all of your support now and in the future.

    Cheers

Glitter Girl & Big Frank -

We had a fire scare at our house yesterday - big mess...all is okay, but my house and everything we own smells like a cabin in the northwoods and probably will for weeks. Anyway, when all was said and done, I cracked a bottle of that $80 brunello (that I bought for $36!!!) and let me tell you, nothing ever tasted so good!

Got the marathon Wednesday notice in my inbox this AM - now that I don't have to buy a new house, new clothes, new everything, I am in the mood to stock up on wine! I appreciated the commentary on the first bottle available out of the gate....do please keep it up if you have thoughts on each offering and I'll do the same. You two are my personal sommeliers after the MOST EXCELLENT brunello recommendation!

          Have a fabulous day!

I had bought 6 of these last time, Great deal for the money but I did get 1 bottle out of the 6 that was not right. The rest were great . It does have a plastic cork so it loooks a bit cheap when you open it but the wine was nice.

"An excellent bargain, this wine reveals copious quantities of rich, sweet, spicy, jammy fruit, a round, supple texture, admirable flavors of plums, roasted nuts, and spices, and a clean, medium to full-bodied, velvety-textured finish."

I didn't love the Passo Madama, I thought it had a strong licorice-type finish.

It is still a good value. I had at least one bad bottle last time, then thought it was ok, then ultimately decided I didn't like it by the time we got to the last couple. Maybe it just needs to be paired with the right food since it has a strong flavor. And let's face it, my palette has gotten badly spoiled of late.
