$12.99 for a 2001 California Cab is a good deal. The tasting notes are from 2004, it should be better now I would think, though they can be volatile. I am trying to hold out for some whites, but may buy this.

I'm new here but I always come by to read when there is a WTSO marathon because, well, it's one of the only places around where people actually discuss it in realtime. Was also in for four of the Silver Spur. And since Joe is here...RSS feeds/archives! And keep up the great customer service.

I finally dipped in with the one that's up now...........$11.99/bottle
Bodega Chakana Cabernet Sauvignon 2005
By Wine Enthusiast
2005 Chakana Cabernet Sauvignon,Mendoza
“A Best Buy”
Rating: 90
Producer: Chakana
Vintage: 2005
Varietal: Cabernet sauvignon
Appellation: Mendoza
Few Argentinean wineries are doing everyday red wines better than Chakana. A case in point is this excellent, superbly balanced, easy-drinking Cab. The nose is meaty, earthy and magnetic, while the palate is ripe, harmonious and full of cassis and raspberry. It’s fruity more than complex, with stature and style. — M.S.
