Reserve vs. non reserve counterparts for tasting suggestions?

We are hosting wine group coming up. I thought it would be fun to do a blind reserve and non-reserve counterpart tasting. We live in the SF Bay Area. (So Bev Mo, Trader Joe's, plus many, many wine stores easy access.) Any suggestions or thoughts?

I'll think on this to see if I can come up with some suggestions, but I have a hunch some others on this group may be better at giving you brands and types of wines. I would bet Bev Mo would be good at this as they have a good selection and know their wines.

I think this could be an interesting tasting. Does reserve make a difference?

I did want to say that some wineries will have reserve but not have a non reserve. Reserve does not have a legal definition, so anyone can make a reserve. Same is true for 'old vine'. A lot of wineries will use that term, but nothing has been defined for how old a vine needs to be to be called old.
