I am considering a family trip to Whistler during ski season. The kids are between 7 and 11. We are not set on the destination, but we want to get a feel for the area. Does anyone have any suggestions for family friendly activities besides skiing or snowboarding? We have tried and enjoy dog sledding, snow sledding, sleigh rides, and snowmobiling. We would like some recommendations on outfitters to hire or locations to try or even sights to see. Is there any particular time during ski season that is better or cheaper at Whistler? Any comments on Shell's Mountainside Lodge would also be appreciated, maybe grocery stores or restaurants nearby. Thanks for your responses.
