Difference between 2 Pacific Shores resorts in RCI Points

I am planning a trip to BC next summer and starting to think about where to stay on Vancouver Island. I think I may want to stay a few days at Pacific Shores at Nanoose Bay. However, when I search under RCI Points for the resort, two Pacific Shores come up. One is with Resort Id no. 6790 and is called Aviawest at Pacific Shores Resort and Spa and the other is Resort Id. no. 2517 and is called Pacific Shores Resort and Spa. What is the difference here? Both appear to have 1 and 2 bedrooms. Is one a newer set of buildings that would be preferable to be in? Can somebody help clear this up for me. Thanks. Tim

They appear to be the same resort. One RCI # is for the main resort and one for the rooms controled by Aviawest. Not sure if there is any difference in the rooms.

I don't recall ever seeing the Aviawest resort code come up in an on-line search.

I just did an online search on RCI Points under Canada for May 1, 2007 for 3 days and both Pacific Shores Resorts came up. See Below. They appear to be the same, but I wonder if the Aviawest has newer units. Notice that one has many more offerings available. Can anybody explain the two resorts and which would be better to select. Thanks. Tim
