Apparently nassau has had a rash of attacks against cruise ship passengers. I read an article and was just looking for opinions from those that go there all the time or live there part of the year. My boyfriend and I really want to go next year but that has scared us off a bit. Is there one island that is safer than another ( I know there is crime everywhere but I just want to be somewhat educated about what i'm walking into.)
Any advice would be great!!

Most of the Islands are pretty safe, once you are aware of your surroundings, as they all have crime area's,for tourist to keep away from,the safest I would say is the Turks and Cacios IslandsComment

Aruba is another safe island.
Some of the islands (like Jamaica, the Dominican Republic, etc.) have very safe resorts but wandering off or the resort area can be a problem.Comment
