If we get a week from RCI at the Morritt's Grand one year, can we book a week at the Tortuga the following year?

Both Morritts resorts are included in that 1-in-4 rule. To be perfectly honest I haven't seen any major Morritts Grand banking since mid-July 2009 in RCI.

SFX gets both resorts and has no such restriction if you have something that will trade with them.

Thanks -- that's too bad.

But -- I'm good for now -- I got one of those weeks back then -- a 2 bdrm and I'm so excited I'm surprising my husband with the trip for our 50th birthdays this year. We'll be there in July of this year.

And, after looking at so many pictures and reading so much about it, I have a feeling I'm going to want to go back.

I saw a Tortuga week in RCI that coincides with my spring break next year. I was just kinda thinking about it. But, I guess your reply has made the decision for me.

As if I'm not impatient for the trip as it is!

Can't wait to go. I will be at the Grand and a good friend of mine will be staying at the tortuga -- so i'll get to experience both.

I don't think RCI treats this as a resort group. I traded into Tortuga Club and even though I am an owner and exempt from the 1/4, I then traded into the Grand the following year and was asked if I had traded into the Grand within the past 4 years. They did not ask about the Tortuga Club and actually I had traded into Tortuga the past 2 years.

So I would give it a try ... all they can do is say no. Actually, it should say on the bottom of the RCI page if both resort count toward the 1 in 4 at each resort. It should list both resort numbers. HTH
