  • Back From Aruba :)

We absolutely loved Aruba!!!! We had such a great time there, we can't wait to go back again. The weather was just glorious every day, and the water was the perfect temperature for swimming, sailing, snorkeling, etc. The people of Aruba were so nice, they constantly went out of their way to accommodate you any way that they could.

There was so much more to do there than I had imagined that we hardly had time to just relax on the beach. We took a tour to get to know the Island, and it's history. We also did our first snorkeling tour which took us to three different locations. We loved snorkeling so much, that we we went back a second time.

We played both golf courses, and they were beautiful, and challenging. We had great meals everyday. The restaurants were plentiful, and the food was delicious. Our favorite restaurant was 'The Sunset Grill', followed by 'Maddam Janet's', although we never had a meal we didn't really enjoy.

The Marriott properties were everything we had hoped for and more. We stayed at the Ocean Club for 6 nights, and the hotel for one night. We also toured the Surf Club. I took lots of pictures, and will write a full review.

I already miss the beautiful beaches, the people, and the two for one 'Passion' drinks at 'Happy Hour'.

    edited to add:

Thanks to all the great tips from everyone here at TS4M's, we had a wonderful vacation. We would never have had such a great time without all your advice.....thanks again for making our vacation one we will always treasure....

Angela, I am so happy to read that you had a wonderful vacation.

So many people here say the same thing so it must be really nice vacationing in Aruba. I wished my BH would read this too. I will stick it under his nose. Snorkeling in warm water may make him interested.

          Emmy,

It is a long flight from California, so I understand your BH not wanting to take the trip. If you can ever get two weeks, or combine a trip from a closer location, you should do it. Everyone should go to Aruba one in their lives.

7 1/2 months will be here before you know it......

We took the De Palm Pleasure Tour, it brought us to three different locations. We saw the largest sunken ship in Aruba, Catalina Beach, and different reefs. We loved it, and took a second tour and snorkeled in the Natural Pool. Next visit, we may try scuba diving.

            PS.....I posted lots of picutres.....

            Can't wait to go back.......

I'm so glad you had a great trip. Aruba is such a nice island and with the help of all the pros here you can't not have a good time.

Loved your pics and the one of the "Tunnel of Love" made me laugh. Was your "guide" Princess Pink Arrow too? We ended up calling it the tunnel of hate...

                Lawren,

                lol.....

That tunnel was one of the worst experiences of our lives. My husband calls it 'The Tunnel of Torture'. I am claustrophobic and half way through I turned around and ran back to the entrance. My husband made it through to the end. When he came out, he was all scraped up, and stiff from being bent over. He had trouble finding the exit, and at one point, a bat came within inches of his face.

We laughed when they told us there was a second tunel if we wanted to do more exploring. We politely said "no thank you", and ran back to our car......

                edited to add:

That was the only thing we didn't enjoy on the island....I will put a warning in my review.

Ah! Welcome to the world of Aruba fanatics. We have been going for 10 years and purchased 3 weeks at Costa Linda on our first visit. I'm actually getting my flights in line today as I want to use my miles. Glad you enjoyed yourselves so much! Linda
