  • Grand Cayman's Stingray City

We are going in April with two of our grandsons - ages 8 & 10, how safe is Stingray City?

'Steve Irwin – the Australian TV adventurer best known as the "Crocodile Hunter" – has been killed by a stingray.'

    Enjoy you will like it

Swam there on more than one occasion. Many boats, tons of people. No problems. (except it is getting thick each day with visitors)

Freak accidents can happen anywhere. Stingray city is a wonderful experience and your grandsons are at a perfect age to enjoy it. The rays are very gentle and quite accustomed to people.

The rays are very tame and very used to people ( and loving the squid handouts). They actually bend their tails away from people. Please do it and bring your camera. It is a wonderful experience that they will remember forever.

There are many wonderful places in the world, but one of my favourite places is on the back of my horse.

They will swim under and between your legs. I may have the # of a private chater that will give you a better price if you call them but you would need at least 15 people to make it worth while.
