  • Puerto Rico Questions?

Has anyone been to Royal Holiday Club Cala (RCI#8843) in Humacao, PR USA?

Is so what is it like? Is there plenty to do for boys ages 10 & 12?

Also, what is the best way to get around in Puerto Rico? Is it OK to rent a car?

I've not been but I will be going.
I've sent S-I-L and many other guests, they've all enjoyed it.
Warm, sunshine, beach, what's not to like. You need a car, no problem.

I was there for last year's spring break with my son. There is a lot to do within driving distance. There is a big supermarket just before the toll.

Beaches, horseback riding, hiking in the only rain forest in the northern hemisphere, the caves are quite a hike. There is the Bacardi factory tour and Old San Juan.

There are a couple of pretty good restaurants on site and I'm sure you could get a boat rental from the marina next door.

Make sure you have your grandkids dig with their feet in the sea to find blue starfish and oodles of sand dollars.

The property is not the ritz but clean and functional and all the people we came in contact with were extremely nice. We enjoyed it and would certainly return.

There are many wonderful places in the world, but one of my favourite places is on the back of my horse.
