I have a few days off in April that I could make a long weekend out of. Was thinking of going to the Caribbean (somewhere I have never been) Is it worth the trip from the east coast to go for just a few days?

There are many wonderful places in the world, but one of my favourite places is on the back of my horse.

Yes, there are good airfare nonstop to most of the Caribbean that time of year, I try to do a weekend trip around the end of February each year, and find it great, get me some sun, and vitamin D, plus a start on my spring and summer tan,
I am also on the east coast and wading in that warmCaribbeann sea is at its best that time of year for me and my wife, where ever you are going, just make sure its a nonstop flight, don't need to spend your weekend in a airport

I went to Barbados for 4 nights in November. Totally worth it, and that's a longer flight than many since it's so far south. 4 1/2 hours each way non-stop from JFK. But for three full days of gorgeous sunshine, beach, and relaxation, it was perfect. We didn't bother with any excursions, etc.
In April you could get away with the Bahamas, much closer. Or Florida
