It appears to be for real...

    http://www.bahamas.co.uk/things-to-d...ming-with-pigs

The likes of Johnny Depp, Nicholas Cage and David Copperfield have all staked claims to their own little pieces of paradise in the Exuma Cays, but the easy life in this island chain in The Bahamas isn't just for film stars. Some less well-known fellows can be spotted frolicking on the beaches and basking in the shallows, as happy as pigs in ... seawater!

The little groups of pigs to be found in the Exumas have attained some measure of stardom recently following a couple of stories of their aquatic skills surfacing in the press and on the web.

If swimming with pigs takes your fancy then such delights are possible. Guests staying at Royal Plantation Island, at Fowl Cay can take a boat out to Big Major Cay and head to the southernmost beach - Pig Beach.

From mainland Exuma there are boat excursions, to see all excursions click here to go to Exuma home page: Four C's Adventure - the Four C's stops at a variety of cays and sandbars, for example at Guana Cay you can feed the local colony of Iguanas ... only grapes, no nasty high fat foods, then sail to Thunderball Grotto for snorkeling the crystalline waters featured in the James Bond film Thunderball, from when the grotto earned its name.

The cruise stops for lunch at Staniel Cay, close by on Big Major Cay are the swimming pigs , proving that there's more than one way to make a pig of yourself.

And if that isn’t enough excitement for one day a further $200.00 will take the boat on to Compass Cay where you can feed the sharks.

    Exuma Cay Adventures

The trip takes about two and a half hours with a few stops; honeymoon island, a blue hole where the guests can snorkel, Musha Cay and Starfish Cove. Once in Staniel Cay the Thunderball grotto and Compass Cay are also explored.

The tour runs from 7am to 5pm in winter and from 8am to 6pm in summer.

The Exuma Cay Adventures excursion costs $ 1600, minimum 6 persons.

I'm surprised they haven't turned Wilbur into Jerk Pork yet.
So I wonder how this rates with the Stingray or Dolphin swims?

Well, I'm not a fan of the dolphin experiences bc the animals are in captivity. But it looks like the pigs sometimes swim with stingrays, too!

You can come to Bonita beach and swim with them in the wild.
They love to follow the boat.
