We are going to Rum Point this afternoon for the Kayak. Will figure out the entry spot for drift snorkeling and try it Wed. I understand that drifting from Cayman Kai to Rum Point is not too difficult, but is coming back to Rum Point also drifting or against current? I remember Rum Point was pretty calm in our previous visit so I hope this is not going to be difficult.
Pat, what do you mean "middle" water? Is it between shore and reef? Are there corals in this area?

Park at Rum Point. Walk back up the road to the public beach entrance. Leave minimal things on the beach. Exit Rum Point, get in car, drive back up to get your things. The current is always going in the same direction, you won't want to snorkel back
