Punta Cana

We are thinking about exchanging for the first time...most likely not...to a resort in Punta Cana. Can anyone recommend a good one through II? I've gone to Trip Advisor for reviews, but as always it's half good and half not for everything. Help!

I know this is late, but I haven't been around lately and am trying to catch up.
I only saw 2 for Punta Cana..out of those 2 I would pick Breezes; never heard of the other. ...I just checked the Breezes website and they do not show a Breezes in Punta Cana.
I go to Punta Cana every year in January as we own 2 timeshares in a Vacation Club there and utilize the Melia Tropical and/or Paradisus. We have never gotten sick in the 6 years we have been going. The resorts in PC are all AI with beautiful beaches. There is no resort town near there. I did read there are a couple of restaurants supposed to be opening soon, but depending where you stay, it probably won't be withing walking distance. I can't speak for any other part of the Dominican but Punta Cana.

You will see positives and negatives for all hotels. You either love it or hate it there. Try apple vacations and see if you could save your trade. Do a cost analysis between the 2 options and see if it is worth it. Apple usually has some great deals there and it includes airfare. Otherwise your payout will include: the maintenance fee for your resort, exchange fee and the AI fees which can range from 45/pp/day to 80pp/day. and airfare.

I am leaving for Punta Cana next Saturday for 1 wk. If I could post while I am down there, I will and let you know what Breezes is now called. I hope this is helpful!

I am here in Punta Cana and found out that Breeze´S WAS JUST BOUGHT BY Barcelo about 4 months ago. I AM pretty sure they do not participate in RCI. excuse the caps as this keyboard is formatted quite differently than at home in the USA.
