Thanks Lawren, that's good to know......definetly worth looking for a Saturday check-in.

Well I've got a Sunday in a two bedroom, will transfer no problemo. Angela,
Morritt's is so relaxing, it's worth some inconvenience imo... beware that if you like Aruba/nightlife/etc.. that Morritt's is on the East End, a good 45 minutes away from 'the action..' at 7 mile beach... but it is right ON the beach... sigh.. I wish it were sooner!!!

Lawren, I d/n know about the direct flights, I will have to remember that for 2012

After the redeye leg on the 12 trip from HI, a simple transfer to get to GCM is a walk in the park.

As for the island, I personally love this particular resort more than the island in general.. the 7 mile beach area is more densely populated/touristy, but this resort, along with the Tortuga next door, is on the East End, a little corner of paradise set off almost by itself (except for the Royal Reef next door with its huge inventory of 30 or so villas...)

I did not know it was a 7 hour flight either. Are there direct flights on Sundays?

            Frank,

I just checked the entire month of Feb, 07. I couldn't find any direct flights, at all......I used Kayak, and AA sites. Maybe they are already booked for this year. You might have better luck for 2008!

There really were non-stops out of JFK but I guess they got trimmed.

This US out of LGA is 6 hours ( including a switch in Charlotte) that's not bad.

                Lawren,

Thanks, I didn't check EWR. It's a little further, but definitely worth it! Are you going this year, or 2008?

2008 but Glitter and I have some "work" to do to make it happen

EWR is closer but I prefer LGA or JFK because I leave my car at my sister's house.

Maybe I'll look for a week! It would be fun, since I haven't been there. II doesn't have the Morritt's tho. I think maybe The Royal Reef Resort, is the best that I could do.

Everyone I know who has stayed at The Reef RAVES about the place.

Frank will be at Morritts Presidents week 2008 and I'm going the week before Easter.

You should definately try for it!

I would have loved to go this year ( and EVERY year) but they have that pesky 1-in-4 rule.

                        Lawren,

I'm gonna take a look at my daughter's school schedule, and see what would work. This year, her spring break is March 5-13.

I could go with or without her. I just can't go without her, if she is home from school.

There are only about 30 units or so at the Reef, so get your request in early and use your best week!. I like it there even better than at the Grand, but we're talking a 111 out of 100 instead of 110...

All this talk has us interested, too.

There are still 2-bedroom units for 1/4, 1/5, and 1/6, and we will be at Sandpiper on Siesta Key 1/12. The couple that goes to Florida with us is interested, too.

We could drive to Tampa, park the Yukon, fly to Grand Cayman for a week, come back to Tampa and head on to Siesta Key.

And just call it the long route to out annual January Florida vacation.

You should go...just dont wait too much longer or those 2BDRMs will be GONE.

BTW if anyone sees a 2BDRM pop back up for March 14,15 or 16 at the Grand could you let me know?
