  • Confirmed Trade Winds Cruise Club

    Just posted on Tug and copied here;

    I am sooo excited I just confirmed trade winds Cruise Club, St. Marteen for December 07. I have been thinking about doing this for a long time but everytime it came up it just wasn't the right time. I am going solo since my wife doesn't want to go and we are also confirmed for the Grand Mayan Acapulco for January 08 and she can't do both trips due to work. I know others have done this solo and would appreciate any feedback on your experience ( I think Shaggy did this a couple of years ago). Also would like to know how I can find out where they sail to from St. Marteen and any other information on this unique timeshare adventure.

      Good for you! I think this would make for an excellent solo choice, you will be with a small group, so the social aspect should be very easy and comfortable. I have friends who book this trip every year (rental not t/s) and just love it.

        I am SO JEALOUS!

        I would love to do one of these but DH gets seasick and DS isn't old enough to go. Someday I will get there.

        TradeWinds Cruise Club

        Seems as it goes to Anguilla which is a Beautiful Island. Very British. The sand is like baby-powder. Soft and very fine. We had a very short stay at Cap Jaluca.

        You also go to Pine Island off SXM which we loved. We took the little ferry there.

        My St Barth's info is second hand from my sister. Very, VERY expensive. She went for only a day trip though so I have no further insight.

        You will have to give a very DETAILED review of your trip Larry. So I can experience Trade Winds through your eyes.

          DH and I were in St Barth's 18 years ago, one place we had lunch wanted $13 for half grapefruit, and that was 18 years ago!!

          Still, I could be planted on any number of beaches there, but I guess you'd have to plant a pile of money next to me

            Oh then my sis got off cheap with burgers and fries and a beer for 4 at $200. And that was probably about 15 years ago.

              Maybe sometime in the future we could try for a "girls" Tradewind trip. My DH also gets seasick, but I have a girlfriend who'd love to go.
