Barbados Advice ?

Well, the time is almost upon me.... going to the Crane.

Any suggestions, advice, etc ? I've never been to the Barbados so any input, good/bad/other is appreciated.

This is the long awaited trade that got pre-empted by the niece's wedding in Honolulu this Saturday which means Boston-Honolulu-Barbados-Boston.

I will only have 5 days at the Crane after the long trek, but I am determined to get there.

Which part are you in? The oldest part is an old colonial plantation house. then there is a newer part of the original timeshare. The newest section, whose name is something like Villas at the Crane, is very luxurious.

Crane Beach, down below the cliff, is a very nice beach, once rated one of the top 10 in the world. The resort is quite isolated, and it would be useful to have a car. The upscale tourist part of the Barbados, the Gold Coast, is at the other end of the island. There are a number of interesting historic sites around the island worth seeing. On Friday, the Ostins fish fry is an institution, and is at least somewhat on the same end of the island.

This is great info. I'm not sure exactly where we'll be, but will report back.

Good to know that a car is needed. Any recommendations on this ?

Back To The Crane

Just confirmed back into the Crane for April 12 th !

One bedroom in the old building (which I like).

Traded a one bedroom June 23rd-30th, Mariner House, Nantucket.

I might even miss opening day for this !!!!

Weeks exchange for this year? How'd that get by me? It's the first search I do each morning.
what are you seeing as RT air? I finally had to cancel an exchange there as over $2k to get 3 of us there was not feasible a month after we returned from Grand Cayman.

Maybe 2009 for me.
