I want every single detail. Every restaurant, every meal, every tourist thing to do and particulary which building/buildings I should request at the private residences.

Remember I am going in April!

Great trade for a Xmas Nantucket week. Have a luxiourious stay. Take PICTURES.

OMG! I think you got the exact room we've been in. With the shutters open, you can hear the ocean at night and the cool breezes just waft in from over the water. Enjoy every minute!

If my friend does not take us up on our invitation to join us I will certainly ask for unit 10.

Does it have a plunge pool though? Ulta luxury and a private pool in the 2 bedrooms.

From reading your posts I guess The Crane really IS the pinnacle for RCI exchanges.

We are done. Finished there is nothing else to look for.

I still remember Barbados from when we took a cruise in 1990. Barbados was the only place we really, really wanted to go back to. The sand is so white and the water is so clear and blue...sigh. Dreamy.

3023 is the old building, the one Beaglemom is staying in right now. These actually show up for exchange more often (or at least that was my impression a couple of years ago, may have changed now). 6390 are the new units - these are the ones that have plunge infinity pools. They're much more modern than the units in the original building.

Yes, that's right, 3023 is the old building, but oceanfront. No plunge pool, but there are 3-4 pools total and of course, the ocean with white sugar sand. The surf is a bit rough, but good for a dip and some body surfing.

The newer residences (most) have the plunge pools, however, they are set back just a little ways, but most facing the ocean. Some face the parking lot and construction.

The older building is where I got placed when I volunteered to give up my 2 bedroom to some hag who was haraunging the desk clerk. She, the clerk, was so relieved that I think this was my reward. Wait til I post the photos.

Yes Cat, it is the one on the corner with the panoramic ocean in front and to the left. I could sit out on the spacious lanai and just stare out to it.

There is one for sale and I'm going to see what they want for one.

A friend of mine showed me this link today and you can see a bunch of pictures of the Crane as well as a number of other high end resorts & villas you can rent out.

The Crane, St. Philip : Villa Rentals and Luxury Vacation Rentals

In that same list of places in Barbadoes, my friends have booked 2 weeks at "The Westshore" which gives them their own villa with daily maid service and a cook to come in for 3 meals a day!

The Westshore also lookes gorgeous, and, daily maid service along with a cook to come in for 3 meals a day, really sounds like a treat!

Do these resorts trade through any other company besides RCI? And, how difficult is it to exchange into them? Thanks!!!

I am touring this a.m. and will probably buy very soon if not from here, definitely from the resale market. I would buy from here if the unit I'm staying in is available.
I don't have a plunge pool, but life, being a trade-off at times, will have me choose the oceanfront view over the plunge pool. The plunge pools are in the new buildings and those folks staying there with whom I'm met here say that they're great to have, but cold.

It's all a matter of what you prefer.

As a prospective owner, one of my first trip will be with my Goumbette friends. Oh, we can take BF, too.
