Crane Resort Difference?

Hi Everyone

I just happened to luck out last year and exchange (points) for Residences at the Crane 2 Bd for mid August 2008.

What is the best way to request a particular unit or is the unit always assigned upon check-in? I'd love to snag a unit with a plunge pool - icing on the cake kind of thing.

I've been using a screen saver for years that features a gorgeous picture of Crane Beach and so have wanted to go there for eons. This will really be a 'dream' vacation out of all the outstanding vacations we've been fortunate enough to experience.

There are basically two Cranes; old and new on the same property. So which one did you get ?
The plunge pools only come with the Residences, resort # 6390.
The old/historic building #3023 does not have them, but is closest to the ocean, but all are close to the ocean.
What resort # did you trade into ? RCI weeks will pull 3023 (old) and RCI points will pull the Residences (new).
I have lots of info on the residence and Barbados if you'd like.

I did use RCI Points (lots of them!) and the resort id on the confirmation is for resort #6390 - no room assignment given. Thank you for your generous offer to share your experience, pointers, tips ... I would love that.

You've got the Residences ! Good on you ! I'd suggest building #5 and make sure you get a unit ending with 1 or 6 as they are end units with the corner plunge pools. The ground floor ones have pools, too.
