Hi everyone,
My fiancee and I received a week from my future in-law's through Interval and we're biding our time with an existing exchange request. It's been slow going but something recently came up in Puerto Plata for the Sun Village Resort and Spa.
First, how is the resort in general? The tripadvisor reviews seem pretty decent save for a recent bout of food poisoning guests seem to have caught.
The doozy of a question is that we want to actually go to another island in the Caribbean for a second week. Is there a way to get from Puerto Plata to any islands in the Caribbean such as the Bahamas, St. Lucia or Antigua? I've searched high and low for some kind of air service but couldn't find anything. I see that Santo Domingo has some options but it seems like quite a trek just to get there from Puerto Plata.
If anyone has advice on either of these questions, we'd greatly appreciate it!
