Anyone stay at Island Seas resort on Grand Bahama Island recently? Very mixed reviews on Trip Advisor. I'm thinking of exchanging into there in April. Thanks!

Thanks
Thanks - that's what I was afraid I was going to hear. Some reviews are great, while others are quite negative. I guess there's a reason why there are so many available units the week before Easter.
I think we're going to go ahead and take it though. Maybe if we have really low expectations, we won't be as disappointed. We hadn't been planning a trip until next summer, this is a "freebie" so to speak, so I'm going to look at it as would I rather be sitting at home or on a dirty beach in the Bahamas?

This is my recollection of the resort and beach. The beach was small when you exit the villa section to the beach there were large rocks to the right and to the left garbage and other items . Zonk the Conk man had a stand near the garbage. I haven't read any of the reviews in years but the villas were average.
My wife and kids did the towel trick by seeing what color towels were used at other timeshares and sneaking in.
The location is okay but there are many other timeshares one can get on the beach during that time. The mega timeshare Taino Beach club which is joined up with others is far superior.
They are selling Island Seas all over the place for next to nothing. That must say something.
The beach is very important to me and we are all different. There are folks here or love Puerto Vallarta timeshares. Nuevo Vallarta has the best beaches by far.

Not bad - and beach is beautiful
I just got back and it was great. Buff, things must have changed dramatically since you last visited. There were no rocks or trash on the beach. I have posted a review on here as well as on Trip Advisor, and I've posted pics on trip advisor of the beach and the views.
