At Morritt's Tortuga Club, Grand Cayman - any questions? PICTURES added
:
I feel a party coming on!
Are u traveling with friends...this trip will just be me and DH so Iam sure I could use a little diversion as the week goes on.
As of right now it's just me & DH, but our daughter LOVES it there, so if she can find a way, she, her DH & little ones will come. She's due to have her second little one in mid-November so don't know if she'll feel up to traveling by Feb. and juggling two babies. Her oldest will not quite be 2 by next Feb.
We are all going this July and she has several friends coming too. We have a couple of units booked. Nothing like traveling with your own party group.
If anyone meets Anoushka Morritt there, steal a photo. I've spoken with her many times in the past and always wanted to put a face to the voice.
These are truly incredible resorts.. I've thought many times about buying there, but the storms and assessments keep scaring me off..
I have not met Anoushka - there is no love of the resale owner by the sales team hence I try to 'stay under the radar'
This is a first class resort with great amenities/units/location-Location- LOCATION !
Many long time owners seem to be upset with recent increases in MFs and special assessments. It is understandable but not the end of the world.
Marriott Aruba Surf Club/Ocean Club 2BR owners are paying $1150-$1250 per week ownership - the Morritt's Grand/Seaside/Wooden Oceanfront units are as nice as the Surf/Ocean Club...with 2BR MFs of $975-$1,050ish
My Wyndham Studio ST Thomas is over $650 MF with taxes and is not nearly as nice in terms of unit quality/service/resort amenities (I go there for the great uncrowded beach location)
I think this resort is a well kept secret - resale owners are getting a great buy and good long term investment.

Good, I need to put a few things in your refrigerator on Saturday night
Here is a link to a coupon for Portafinos....very nice Italian food prepared by an Indian family - they also do an Indian night on Tuesdays...friends went and loved the food and they will pick u up and return u to the resort....about two miles away.
HI, sorry for getting here late. Unfortunately, I have no clue whether there were DVD players.
Having no kids with us,we didn't even turn on the tv! Sorry I couldn't help!
The Hurleys that we went to is close to the airport. FWIW, we really enjoyed the bulk olives there. Serious salt cravings or something, but the ones stuffed with blue cheese were yummy.
Well, just for BigFrank I should register under Glitter Brunello. But you both have PMs from me, just in case the resort won't go for it
I'm looking forward to meeting you and your families. In the SUN
Pat, are the Shoppes at Grand Harbor the ones at Morritt's, or are they a drive?
as HM said, it is close to the airport but has a liquor store and toy store as well as a restaurant, etc.
Across from the resort is a very nice, smallish Fosters store that had just about everything u would need....but with limited selection.
There is a very nice bakery/breakfast/lunch place as well in that shopping plaza.
Hurleys was like any full service market in the states with a great fresh meat/fish section as well as wonderful vegies/fruit and Happymums blue cheese stuffed olives for your Dirty Martinis
