At Morritt's Tortuga Club, Grand Cayman - any questions? PICTURES added
as HM said, it is close to the airport but has a liquor store and toy store as well as a restaurant, etc.
Across from the resort is a very nice, smallish Fosters store that had just about everything u would need....but with limited selection.
There is a very nice bakery/breakfast/lunch place as well in that shopping plaza.
Hurleys was like any full service market in the states with a great fresh meat/fish section as well as wonderful vegies/fruit and Happymums blue cheese stuffed olives for your Dirty Martinis
If you want, you can request things and the local Hurley's out at Morritts will bring it in from their main store next day.
Glitter and Holly do take the kids to the Turtle Farm!
I don't think there were DVD players in the units.
I am quite jealous. I hope you all have a wonderful time!

I believe Lawren is referrring to Fosters Express which is by the Morritts - Hurley's has only one location.....I think - so double check!
You're right Pat. Right information. Wrong supermarket! Stopped at Hurley's on the way in from the airport and then we got everything we needed from Fosters once we were out at the east end. Some of it special order.

I'd have been in touch sooner but for the FANTASTIC weather... oh, and the twins.. and my bum knee... oh... and the fact that THERE IS NO WIFI AT THE GRAND, only one hardwire ethernet connection per two bedroom unit, don't get me started.. but we have had a fantastic week, not a drop of rain, lovely breeze but no uncomfortable wind, and today I saw my first cloud of the week... I so love it here, but alas we leave tomorrow (next time I swear I will stay all 7 nights...)
And neither kid hurled on the boat ride, though I was the only one who got into the water with the stingrays, or to snorkel (I used one fin, and managed to avoid swimming in circles...)
I so hate to leave!!
It was great meeting Holly and family, I'm sorry we missed Tim, but we were on the go a lot --
Glitter, it was a pleasure! The week has flown by and we LOVE it here too. Time to look for resales! NO, I won't do it, I won't do it, I won't do it....

We had the same deal at WJL in St. Lucia. What I sometimes do (but didn't this time) is pack a small wireless router and plug it in to the wired internet in the room. Instant hotspot!

I love it!! If I go back to the Grand, I will definitely do that. They wanted to charge us for two passwords (two laptops) even though there was only one connection!! (In the end, they did not ) Oh, and better to bring your own ethernet cable, though they are available at the front desk.
Glitter Brunello and Holly, I'm so sorry we were not able to meet at Morritt's Grand. We too were on the go a lot. For a small island, I put 400 miles on our rental car. We had a great time. We did lots of snorkeling all over the island. The Grand was great. The views were tremendous. We had a corner unit, 7301, which was fabulous.

400 miles on your car, that's impressive for a Caribbean island!
