Never saw one, in all our 20 plus years of going to Aruba...but they are now there...and seem to be growing:

Well, we live in AZ, and have seen quite a few snakes, just don't get to see a boa....unless it is a feather one.

While it surprised me to discover the thread, and photo, it doesn't scare me away from Aruba....just will be sure to keep my patio locked and my eyes open!

“Maybe you shouldn't dress like that.”

“This is a blouse and skirt. I don't know what you're talking about.”

        “You shouldn't wear that body.”

Boas have been on Aruba at least since 1999. They are an invasive specie in that environment. The Aruban government would like to get rid of them.

The birds wish they weren't there, too. Aruba has only two native species of snakes. One is poisonous, the other is small and is an insectivore. I am sure they don't like the competition, either.

If you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change.

BTW, I'm still keeping track of how many times you annoy me.

Boas are also becoming a problem in the Everglades!

I wouldn't worry about Boas. I would however, wear leather shoes and long pants when hiking in the beautiful rocky highlands or climbing Hooiberg, because of a rare and endangered indiginous Rattlesnake that resides there.
