Further details about the 2010 TATOC conference entitled “Working Together” have been announced. The event is being held at the Nottingham Belfry from Friday 26th March to Sunday 28th March, 2010.

Stephen J. Cloobeck, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Diamond Resorts International®, will be the keynote speaker at the conference.

I treat this as a similar assoc like ARDA. That seeks the benefit of developer while claims to represent the TS as whole.

TATOC is really supposed to be an association of homeowner-run HOA's, not developers. The timeshare developers association in Europe has been known as OTE, but has recently changed its name. TATOC has always been seperate from OTE.

I hope someone at the conference will ask Cloobeck point blank about DRI's unconscienable act in forcing out the fixed week owners at Wychnor Park, and now Thurnham Vacation Club members at Thurnham Hall, as well as what other resorts they plan these strongarm tactics at. They should also ask Cloobeck whether they plan to sell off Wychnor Park, which is what their predecessor Sunterra did after they forced the fixed week owners out at Club Britannia. DRI has itself already sold off Carlton Court in central London, but that was easier because it had no fixed week owners to have to force out; it was all points. They may also ask how much DRI got for selling off Carlton Court, but I doubt he would reveal that.

I would be tempted to go myself, but being already scheduled to be out of office two weeks in March and three in April, the timing is such that I could not get away then.
