Shipping household items to the UK
My daughter recently got married here in the US but she lives in the UK. Does anyone know of a cost effective way to send a lot of merchandise (aka wedding gifts) overseas? Many years ago, when she was studying in London, I was able to parcel post a trunk of clothes to her. It took 6 weeks but that was not a problem. It does not appear that the post office offers that service anymore, and everything else is prohibitively expensive.
