No tripadvisor reports available on these places. They are a "club" thing and supposedly equate to 3 to 5 star hotels. A friend of dh's has stayed in several, but not in London. He's the one who told dh and said they are very nice. Did you check out the website? Club Quarters - A Compelling New Hotel Concept

What's confusing is I can find rates for 30+ days stays (which look like apartments) and holiday/weekend rates, but nothing for mid-week. The holiday/weekend rates are the ones I saw first that look really good. If those rates are for mid-week as well we'll probably go with it. I'm just waiting to hear back.

If you decide to use Priceline, check rates/hotels out on BiddingForTravel.com - The informed Priceline Travel Bidding Forum They list the hotels Priceline uses in specific London areas. You can also check reviews of the hotels; Biddingfortravel has links to Hotels and Vacation Reviews - TripAdvisor for reviews.

We've always had standard sized (U.S. that is) rooms--and one absolutely enormous room that must have been intended as a family room: there was room for 3 queen sized beds easily, though we had only a queen and a single--and lots of extra room. The 4* pretty much guards against a crummy location or room I think.

Found the reviews. It goes by the Grand at Trafalgar Square. Yes, the rooms have bathrooms, and it got quite good reviews. So, if the price if right, we'll stay there.

Thanks again. I've used Priceline in the past for hotels. Most likely won't be using it this trip.

Check that the rates quoted for UK hotels are per room/per night and not per person/ per night. Pricing per person used to be the norm but is thankfully much less common now. It was very easy to get a nasty shock when travelling from a country like the USA where price per room is standard.

As someone else mentioned - the rooms in London are MUCH tinier than most are used to - especially if you're used to staying in timeshares. The "deluxe" room that I had about a month ago at the London Bridge Hotel had a whopping 2 feet (max) on either side of the bed and that was it. The room was basically a (small) bathroom and a bed.

Granted, that was all I needed as I was solo and on business, but am always amazed at how spoiled I've become in terms of how much space I want/need.

Thanks again everyone for the input. Turns out the really cheap rates (76 pounds per night) are just for certain holiday dates. The dates we'd need the room the rates are 177 pounds per night. While that may still be a great price for the location, it's 50 pounds per night more that what we currently have booked (near the British Museum and includes breakfast). So we'll stick with what we have. And yes, we are prepared for a small room.

That's sounds about right and is roughly what I paid last month, although we have a corporate rate and are must book thru a certain service. So even though I could've gotten 25% off booking direct thru the hotel I had to use the service and pay 184 pound/night

Realize that the company gets other perks for doing this, but it doesn't really line up with our cost-cutting agenda.......
