  • Dublin..in less than a month!

Hi all, just looking for suggestions or accommodations advice! I'd like to go to Dublin beginning of September (I am thinking the 1st to the 13th)..

I do not have any trade weeks available so I was looking to see if I could get an "extra vacation" or something similar from one of the exchange companies.. I checked out RCI, DAE and Platinum websites but came up with nothing (perhaps I should try calling?)..

Any other advice on such a last minute booking?

If not with the exchange companies -- any ideas on places to stay that are not too expensive? my preference is the city center of dublin but I would be open to staying in the outskirts as well.. thinking Tallaght, Sandyford or Blackrock.. please let me know your thoughts -- thanks !

Hi from Dublin ! Not too many TSs in Dublin ..the only one as far as I am aware is Fitzpatricks in Killiney but that seems to be always heavily booked .
If renting I would avoid Tallaght .Its less attractive than the other locations and the LUAS (tram ) is slow for such along journey . Stick to the DART (light rail ) route ...Sandymount , Booterstown , Dun Laoghaire and as far as Dalkey (great ) . out Northside is cheaper but apart from Clontarf Sutton and Howth (great ) you have less options.
When you narrow your search ( stick to the coastline ) and are close to making a decision PM me and I will give you a thumbs up. Anyway ....welcome and enjoy

for accomodation in dublin, a good place to start would be
      www.visitdublin.com or www,visitireland.com

accomodation in centre of dublin would be more expensive, but you would not be tied to using the Dart or Luas.

when we go to dublin we often stay at the Clarion, which is walking distance (20 mins) to the centre, and near to both Dart and Luas stations, but we get an apartment not hotel rooms as we find that more convenient with kids, and chaper than 2 hotel rooms!

Yes indeed Clarion would be fine . Part of the IFSC.
