We will be in London at Sloane Gardens Club of a week in May. This is only our second time to London (and the first was only for 2 nights). We are considering doing one or two daytrips to Oxford and Stratford-upon-Avon. I've been doing some research on the London card with travel, but it's pretty expensive (137 pounds per adult for 6 days, plus one extra day of free travel). We were to the Churchill museum and the Tower of London on our first trip.
I'm thinking the Oyster card will give us more flexibility in terms of travel within the city (the travel add-on portion of the London card amounts to 47 pounds for 7 days--not sure we would exceed that using the Oyster card) and maybe just a 3-day London pass for 68 pounds.
Looking for some advice from the London experts on this. Any other advice would also be welcome.
