Having just looked over the UK offerings of RCI, I noted that a large majority of the total seem to be individual cottages in the months of November and early December, 2011. This is not a popular time generally to vacation in the UK due to short days, so most of these are likely to be left on the shelf. However for Americans with a long Thanksgiving break during that period, it could make for a cheap vacation in the UK. Wait this one out, and I would bet dollars to doughnuts that a few months out these will be rock bottom as rentals, or if someone is foolish enough to exchange for one, they will not cost many points lite. They are, as one would expect, asking too many points lite for them now.

That is curious. On the Europe RCI site, there are so many November - December cottages that it is hard to find the timeshare resorts on the site! (There are also a handful for October, but I did not see any other months) I assumed that they would offer the same inventory on the US site given the huge oversupply for that time of year. I know that RCI keeps some of its better inventory back to only offer to European members, but this is deep off season and would not be in that category. Nonetheless, members are hardly likely to snap these up, especially at the points lite numbers they are now asking, so I suspect RCI will offer it cheap a few months out through some part of its vast rental network. The trick for those interested may be to find out where.

I only see 1494 units (all available). I did a private trade test a while back with a German RCI member and he could see much more in Europe than I could; I could see much more in the Americas. I don't know why RCI does that, but I guess they give regional priority. Some of what he could see in the UK, I would have loved to get, so the priority is for good stuff (at least in MHO).
