You will need the currencies of each country you are going to. The rates will probably be better to purchase when you are actually in those countries. ATM's using a debit card like CapOne, and not one of the many with 3% junk fees, should get you a good rate. In some countries, the local exchange houses also have decent rates, but that varies a lot by country, and in most countries it is a worse rate than the ATM's, sometimes much worse. Read the guidebooks for those countries on currency exchange. Some local banks charge you an ATM fee, like Greece, while others like the UK usually do not. I am not certain about Middle Eastern countries, as the only ones close I have ever been to are Turkey and Morrocco and those are not really the area you are going to.Originally posted by Ryne08Comment
