• A phony timeshare watchdog

A newish ''timeshare watchdog'' that has appeared on the scene is highly questionable to any who know the history of its sponsors.

Some who have been around a while remember the old Crimeshare website, on which consumers could post info on timeshare scammers, whether developers or resellers or anyone else. It was run behind the scenes by officers of the Timeshare Consumers Association of the UK. Some stuff posted was a bit over the top, but it had lots of good info. There was no attempt to censor anything a consumer wanted to post.

Some of the scamming developers who were exposed on Crimeshare were officers of the Organization for Timeshare in Europe (OTE) who got that organization to go to war to try to shut down Crimeshare, using threats of lawsuits from OTE's legal team. In Europe, where free speech is less protected, this intimidation led most if not all timeshare sites to prevent any post regarding Crimeshare on their sites. In the US, however, the laws were more protective of sites, and no site I know of knuckled under to this thuggery by OTE. Indeed, some like The TimeshareBeat / Street Talk were vocal in support of Crimeshare and denounced OTE's despicable censorship.
OTE's legal team also began threatening anyone who hosted Crimeshare's site, and they bounced from server to server. Finally, OTE succeeded in destroying Crimeshare.

Now OTE has changed its name to Resort Developers Organization (RDO) and they are funding an alleged timeshare consumer site called MindTimeshare on the web. As one would expect, it has no info on scamming developers and points all attention only at scamming resell companies and the like. Certainly none of the slimy developers who are accepted into membership at RDO along with the reputable ones would ever find themselves exposed on MindTimeshare site.

Now, there is an effort to expose this phony watchdog:

Mind Timeshare Truth | The Truth is Out There

A watchdog that only barks at one set of threats and not at another is not much of a watchdog. This mutt is firmly on the leash of RDO and will cover up for those members of RDO and probably any other developer which has less than honest business practices.

Criminal investigation against Resort Properties

GREAT NEWS FOR ALL OF US

I have just received formal notification that the State Prosecutor in Tenerife has ordered a FULL BLOWN CRIMINAL INVESTIGATION against Resort Properties and 21 of their employees.

On the 11th April an official notification from court No. 3 in Tenerife was published stating that on the 22 December 2011 the State Prosecutor ordered the police to perform a full investigation.

As part of the investigation I was delighted to see that the list of indicted people included MARK CUSHWAY CEO of Resort Properties.

So,MR ALBERTO GARCIA, head of enforcement of the RDO what do you have to say about this?

Will you STILL chose to IGNORE the statements of over 250 people? Will you STILL chose to COVER UP a fraud currently standing at 375 MILLION EUROS?
HOW much do you get paid by Resort Properties to turn a blind eye? Is it REALLY enough to EASE your conscience?

And to the RDO, what do you have to say?

Will you STILL ignore the fact that one of your BIGGEST members, indeed one of your LEADING spokespeople for the RDO and the timeshare industry, MR MARK CUSHWAY has being indicted for his involvement in a MULTI MILLION EURO FRAUD?

Really, WHAT MORE NEEDS TO HAPPEN? HOW MUCH MORE PROOF DO YOU NEED?

Maybe when ALBERTO GARCIA and the RDO are also indicted because of their involvement in this SCAM my questions will be answered……….

Oh, and MR GARCIA in case you can’t find this PUBLIC document here is the letter from the State Prosecutor AND an extract from the OFFICIAL document listing the people who have been indicted.

Alberto Garcia must be getting worried now

how can the head of enforcement for the RDO miss this one?

I agree with you Mrs Wilson, they say everyone has their price and it seems ALBERTO GARCIA definitely has his.

To be fair, it is the UK, i think they all have to share one or two computers....Government supplied, Universal Internet requires long waiting times and since the computer techs are government employees no guarantees of good service

RDO and its minions have been controversial on the UK timeshare board for some time. It looks like they have discovered this board, too. Hopefully they will stay around for other topics as well.
