Ireland Review- Knocktopher Abbey Coming Up

Am going to Knocktopher Abbey, Ireland from 9/16-9/23 for the Ryder Cup.
Will do a review with photos (with help from the photo master here).
Anyone been there before ?

I actually ended up renting a one bedroom for the Ryder week from the nicest woman on Tug as I needed that specific week. I ended up paying $1500 for it which is a bargain. Check out the Tug classified rentals to see the attempts at price-gouging there. Shameful. I think I paid a very fair price for this week. It's no bad reflection on Tug as they do not set prices, just those few who would attempt to gouge. I have no problem with making a profit, but the $$$$$ asking is sad. Anyway, as of this note, they go unrented.

Well, the time is almost here and I will be flying Aerlingus from Boston to Shannon on Sunday. I just hope those Irish folks start driving on the correct side of the road by the time I get there, I mean, sheesh, what's with that ?
Have tickets for the Ryder Cup and will drive from Killkenny to Kildare (K Club).
Many, many thanks to Garry/Ireland's Call for his driving instructions (although they're on the wrong side of the road).

Just Back

Well, after a harrowing flight - I don't mind the bumps while flying, it's the big dips (up & down) that terrorize me, I've come back.

Couldn't get my digital camera to work, but I did take a lot of 35mm ones which I will figure out how to load and send.

Knocktopher Abbey was interesting. Superb folks at the front desk and maintenance (Norman & Derrick). Will submit the review this weekend.

Vinolover - the available dates, were they in European or USA format ? I mean, 06/01/2007 could mean January 6th, 2007 in Euro format or June 1st, 2007 in USA. Just wondering. Thanks for posting it !
