  • Italy EXCHANGE -- please help!

    Hi,

I just recently became a timeshare owner (my 'home' resort is in Cabo San Lucas, MX) -- I am interested in exchanging my time there for 2 weeks in Italy (2 different cities, probably Florence and Rome).

Any advice on which company I should use to exchange, and which resorts are nice in these areas would be greatly appreciated!

    Thanks

Carpidium Di Assisi is between both areas and is close to the train station and Auto Strata. I just got back from 3 weeks in Italy, Let me know if you need more info. I used RCI but I hear DAE has a lot of inventory.

      Hi Frank,

Glad you had a good time in Italy. Could you tell us how your experience was at the Carpediem Assisi and I Cieli di Roma. Thanks!

In just a few words Assisi is great resort , It is in a very nice spot and the town is great. I Cieli DI Roma is a dive and a rip off. I ran as fast as I could. We got suckered into paying $25 a head for I do not know what. We went to the room and used the bathroom and left to go to Posatano within the hour. We were planing on doing 50/50 but that resort had no AC nor did it have beds. WE came back near weeks end only because we had to fly out of Rome. We did not sleep more than 3 hours and never opened the sofa bed.
I will write a better review as soon as I get a chance.

W-O-W ! Thanks for the warning on that one When you get the chance.. please let me know more details about the Assisi resort that you stayed at -- I wanted to visit around the country (Florence, Rome, Tuscan countryside, etc.), but also have a good time relaxing at the resort in a *nice* comfy room with amenities -- and also go out for dinner every night!! Please let me know if you have any suggestions... I would not be adverse to staying in 2 different resorts in 2 different cities, either...

Thanks for your advice!! I really appreciate it!

Thanks for the comments, Frank. Glad to hear the Assisi timeshare was good ..was looking forward to it and exploring the Umbria region. But am now getting very, very worried about the Rome one . Thankfully, it is still a long way away and I could cancel if I wanted to. Would love to hear more about them and your trip when you have the time. Thanks again!
