Can anyone tell me more about MONDI-HOLIDAY MITTERFELS, Germany?

I am planning my trip to MONDI-HOLIDAY MITTERFELS, Germany. I am debating if I should stay a night or two in Munich before I got to the hotel, or go to Munich while I stay at the hotel.

Also, how do I get around from the hotel to Munich? What is there to do around the hotel? How is the hotel? Any feedback from anyone who has been there is appreciated. I am getting a bit nervous about getting around in Germany, since I don't speak German.

I would go back to MONDI-HOLIDAY Mitterfels

If you fly into Munich, spend a few days in Munich before traveling to MONDI-HOLIDAY Mitterfels. Do not get a car until the day you are going to travel to the Resort. You do not want to use a car in the larger cities of Europe. I think it is about 60 miles from Munich to Mitterfels.

The Resort is nice and I would give it a 7-8 out of 10, with 10 being the best.

Passau, Regensburg, and Straubing were all great destinations. I would get the Germany guide book by Rick Steves. He answers many common questions about how to travel in Europe. Here is his Web site.

Many Germans speak some English in the larger cities. Fewer people speak English in the smaller towns, but many of the younger people do. You will had no difficulty making ourselves understood with a small German-English dictionary.

Where to go for 13 days in Europe

Thanks for your response. I was feeling regretful about booking the resort after I read some of the reviews on tripadvisor. I feel much better now.

BTW, I booked one week in Scotland, and one week at Mitterfels, Germany. In between the two weeks, I have 13 days, which I need to plan what to do in Europe. I was thinking about London, Paris and Rome, or even adding Venice for the 13 days. Alternative, I can spend more time in Great Britain. Anyone has any idea of how to best use the 13 days between my week in Scotland and Mitterfels, Germany?

I would do London and Paris!

I have been to London, Paris and Venice. I would go to London after Scotland and Paris after London. I would save Venice and Rome for another time or add another week, or two.

Where are you staying in Scotland?

Don't worry about not speaking German -- all we know is "danke" and we were fine!

As for the 13 days between Germany and Scotland, Prague isn't far from Mitterfels...
