Help fast! RCI is holding a 2 bedroom unit for me in July 2008 at Carpediem Assisi Living Club. I will be traveling with my family (3 kids) and want to explore the Tuscany area. Any thoughts on this timeshare? I have seen some negative reviews and am worried about staying here. However, finding a 2 bedroom unit in the summer is hard to do. Thanks. Tim

We had a nice unit there (Iris unit which was a one bedroom) but I have read the reviews you mentioned. Our unit was large, sunny, clean, plenty of storage space, nice kitchenette and worked out perfectly for us. We liked having the shuttle bus into town since we didn't have a rental car so we didn't mind the compulsory card fee. We missed not having a washer/dryer but didn't try the coin operated laundry room as it didn't seem very inviting.
Most of the staff was friendly (including the shuttle driver), not all spoke English (including the shuttle driver) but we enjoyed learning to communicate.
We did visit another couple in one of the other units (also one bedroom). It was tiny, dark, cramped, no storage space. So it seemed to be luck of the draw.
The area is great however, Assisi is a good central location for seeing the Umbrian towns and countryside.
You can see our unit in my timeshare photos.

Like I said in my PM take it. I will try to post some pictures here shortly. I am also putting a review here on the site as well. Here is a Link for the review.

I am one who posted a very negative review--but I really believe with a two bedroom unit, you'll be very pleased. Both little restaurants right by the resort are fun and are good to have so close. Both sell their wine bottled for take home--something like $1.00 a bottle, but it's drinkable."You cannot legislate the poor into prosperity by legislating the wealthy out of prosperity." I posted a negative review of the resort a few years ago. As some have said you really can't beat the area and summer in Italy...what's not to like. Even with my negtive review if the opportunity was available again, even nowing it's luck of the draw for the units I'd grab it :~)
