I'm a new poster here and wondered if there were any other owners at Royal Park Albatros on tenerife here as well?

It would be great to hear from you particularly now as the resort has recently been taken over by Petchey Leisure.

Were sorry that we have not been able to help you. The moderator of this forum also owns a Timeshare website in the UK and does not get over here very often. Hopefully someone else will step in. If you rather post there I bet you would get plenty of help over at Timeshare talk in the UK. If your question was about a US timeshare we would have been able to assist you much better.

I think splot will find the answers on timesharetalk Frank, as there are more likely to be Tenerife timeshare owners on there (me included)

Thanks for replying and also to Frank.

I am already posting on the timesharetalk website and yes there has been more interest there.

My main query is how do we get access to other owners at the resort, particularly those across Europe? The resort has owners from Germany, Italy etc and we are having difficulty getting more to know about what is happening on the resort. Does anyone have any ideas or suggestions?

I'm afraid the answer to the question "How do we get access to other owners at the resort?", is "With great difficulty".
I'm pretty certain that the developers wouldn't give you access to the detail of other members, and even if they did, the cost of sending out a mail shot could be prohibitive. Where is the AGM held? Can you attend that to get any concerns raised?

There lies the problem ... the previous owners never held AGMs, and the new ones seem to be oblivious to the constitution regarding how the club should be run. Hence the question about trying to gain more access to owners.

The new owner, Petchey Leisure seem unable or unwilling to answer some straightforward questions about - who is on the owners committee, when did it meet etc etc. They answer some questions that they appear to like, but not the ones that they appear to dislike.

I know from experience that this is the normal way of developers / new owners operating, apparently assuming that we as owners will eventually go away, or give up. Some may others may not. But the simple message is that we want to have the best for our resort - we decided to purchase there afterall! - so why not answer the questions posed by the owners.

It really feels like !

Now i would like to get rid of my timeshare but i see it is not so easy these days..
