  • Hotels near Allen House plus another question

Can anyone recommend an inexpensive hotel near Allen House in Kensington? I hope we've found a unit there, but it only sleeps four. There are six of us. One option would be to put my two grown kids in a hotel, but I'd hope it would be inexpensive and close by for convenience. They don't need anything fancy as long as it's safe and clean.

Also, does Allen House have parking available? I know parking can be obscenely expensive in the city. We'd hoped to keep our rental car since we'll need it the week prior and the week following. It may turn out to be cheaper to do two separate rentals.

    Thanks,

    Sheila

    Sheila,
Did you see the posting for the Allen House rental ?
Re: parking. I've never rented in London, but email Julie or Annie at AH re:
    parking questions.
Also, ask them if you can rent a couple days.
Here's a good website: London Apartments - All London Apartments in Safe London Areas
Or for hotels in Kensington: Kensington Hotels, Kensington accommodation, London, London, Hotels travel and accommodation
There's a good B&B about 8 blocks away, it's called the Vicarge Gate.
The Vicarage Hotel, London Oh, btw, some rooms share a bathroom, but the housecleaning is spotless. I stayed here on my honeymoon years ago and have stopped in from time to time to say hello to the owners.

      Hi Beags,

I was hoping you would answer this. Would have probably emailed you soon if not.

I did see the rental offer, which is what started the thread. Unfortunately, I've just learned I was the fourth response to the posting, so it's probably not going to work out after all. What a disappointment!

I've got two hotel reservations for the five nights I need, but I'm not real happy with either of them. London is obscenely expensive!

Thanks for responding. I'll check out the other sites you mentioned.

If you email Julie and Annie with your questions, they will help. They have all the answers as far as I'm concerned and are always willing to share info.
