  • Sloane Gardens not a timeshare?

I have a request in at SFX for a week in London for Oct. for my sister. She said she read somewhere that Sloane Gardens won't be a time share after July. I can't find any mention that. Has anyone had any info to confirm that?

On a related note, can anyone offer an educated guess on the likelihood of getting a week in London in Oct from SFX? How about RCI?

    Thanks in advance.

Maybe emailing them can clear up things: Sloane Gardens Club, 3 Sloane Gardens, London - London Private Clubs - All in London

    Let us know.
    Thanks !

Sue - there is no truth to the rumor about Sloane Gardens Club not being a timeshare after July.

Regarding the possibility of results? Let me put it to you this way. There are only "two" very small timeshare properties in the heart of London. (There are a couple of them in the outskirts of the city. Okay locations, but not that great).

Space only becomes available at these properties if the Owners of the weeks choose to deposit them with an exchange company and trade out. Most of the owners of these weeks are "Americans"... who purhcased these units to use them.

Add to that, London is globally demanded every week of the year from thousands of people who want to go and visit. The demand drastically outweighs supply of space.

To have even a small chance, you need to be very flexible on travel dates and have great trading power of your deposited week.

        Hope this helps...

I don't think you have a prayer with RCI - II does get availabilty at Carleton Court - not the great location as Allen House and Sloan but in London!
I posted a sighting for October weeks in the past 2 months or so.

Occasionally I have seem London weeks on SFX sell off list - short notice exchange or bonus week.

Yes just last week SFX had a Sloan Garden week on its sell off list. It didn't last long.

Yes, I saw it. It was actually there for a while, but my BIL couldn't get the week off from work. I was surprised that it took so long for someone to grab it.

Thanks Mark for your comments. I thought you were taking a long weekend. :-)

Hi Sue - The reason that week to a while to book is because it was London for the Memorial Day Holiday Week, and airfares were at a premium.

PS: I am taking a long weekend
