    Italy, France, and Spain all use the Euro, I believe. Scotland and England use the British pound. I don't know if that makes any difference on the VAT. However I don't think there shouldn't be any problem collecting VAT from purchases in Scotland when you're in England.

      You are correct about which countries use Euro or Pound. VAT rates vary from country to country within the EU, but are the same in Scotland and England. If you can reclaim VAT on purchases in the UK it makes no difference whether the purchase was in England, Scotland or Wales.
