  • Carpediem Assisi Living Club, Italy -- Question

Anybody recently stay at Carpediem Assisi Living Club in Assisi, Italy? We have a 2 bedroom unit booked for July 08 and my wife is having second thoughts based on the terrible reviews out there. What did you think of the resort?

It appears that the unit assigned may have a lot to do with whether it is okay or not. On the RCI exchange confirmation, it indicates we have unit 07/C1, which is a 2 bedroom unit. Can anybody tell me about this particular unit? Thanks. Tim

I can't tell you about that unit (I'm the author of one of the terrible reviews), but I can say that the unit assignment makes a huge difference. It was my impression that there were no two bedroom units that were horrible.

The resort is located out of town, sort of on the back side of the hill, so it's a drive into Assissi each day. We didn't mind that at all. When we were there, the two little restaurants just outside the resort gates were VERY reasonably priced and the food/service was good. Its location is a great base for exploring the area. I would definitely not be nervous if I had a two bedroom unit.

Pstreet1, thanks. The location of the resort is not an issue for us as we will have a car as we intend to explore several of the hill towns. Given the recently reviews on TripAdvisor, my wife is really concerned that we are going to get a really bad unit. However, it doesn't appear that those reviewers were talking about 2 bedroom units. I am thus hopeful, but still looking for someone who has actually seen some of the two bedrooms and can provide more info to me. Thanks again.

Tim I stayed there last year in a 1 bedroom sleeps 4. We loved the place. Room was clean and fairly up to date. The pool was real nice but be sure to bring a swimming cap. Restaurants down the block are highly recommended as the Town of Trevi which is a 20 min ride from there. We got our best and least expensive meal in Italy in Trevi which is where the best Olive oil in Italy comes from. The town of Assisi is some thing you should spend at least 2 to 3 days to view.

This timeshare actually has a great name for an assisted living facility.
