  • Borgo di Vagli

    Hi,

I desperately want to go to Borgo di Vagli in Tuscany Italy (probably in 2009...). Which exchange company do I have the best chance of obtaining this trade through? How difficult do you think this would be through an exchange company? Are there any other options (direct trade with an owner?) for obtaining a week here...

    Thanks!

For what it's worth, we booked La Casella with FairWyn points on the Weeks side of RCI, and Il Poggio with RCI points.

Thanks for the info... were both weeks readily available? or was it a waiting process?

Were you able to have any luck getting booked at Borgo di Vagli? We are trying to get there in the September 08 timeframe. Just curious if you were so very fortunate.

        Good luck to us all.

I've checked online almost daily with a very good trader and have never seen Borgo di Vagli, it sounds lovely and it was always on my list. Sadly, I've used my last week with RCI and am now trying to sell my timeshare so the only way I'll get there is by paying...

I have a week banked with SFX that I have requested Italy/Europe. I know SFX does not have a lot of inventory in Italy, so I am not very hopeful for this, but I am requesting June - Nov of 2009, so presumably, I will have to wait until at least June of 2008 before I start hearing any news on where I can go...

I am also checking out DAE to see if I can get a trade into Italy with them, although I do not know much about the company yet so I have not banked any weeks...

            I will keep you posted!

I thought Borgo di Vagli Was A Fractional?

I read in an industry magazine recently that Borgo Di Vagli was a fractional ownership property starting from 60k (euros) and was quite interested - is it also a timeshare property then?

                Amanda,
Lawren spotted a summer '10, not Borgo, but it is Tuscany.
                I will email you.

                  Amanda,
There's a Tuscany TS (not Borgo) for sale......... I'd make a really low, low ball offer if interested.
High MFs, though. You can rent for slightly more, I'd guess.

I was looking through the list of timeshares that DAE had already done trades on for this year and ran across Borgo di Vagli, 2BR/6 for check-in July 4, 2009. I hope the owner deposits again next year. I am going to put that on my request list.

I have a week at Borgo di Vagli!

                      Hi

I have a week's timeshare at Borgo di Vagli in June each year. I bought it as timeshare before the resort converted to Fractional Ownership. This means I get to enjoy the resort without having to invest large sums of money to buy into fractional. I currently rent out my week every other year, as I own other properties in Madiera and Spain XXXXXXXXXXXXXX XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX XXXXXXXXX

                        Borgo di Vagli

                        Plummy,

It's a small world. I just stayed in No.15 which I believe is your residence. I usually have No 21 in June but for reasons too complicated to explain here I had to change to another residence in July.

This was our 7th year. How long have you been an owner ?

The difference in temperature was striking between June and July. Normally it is in the middle twenties but we had 38 degrees for 3 days then it dropped back a bit but was rarely below 30 during the day.

No 21 is the 'Shepherds Hut' at the bottom of the hill. I preferred No.15 as it is on one level and has great views.

                        Regards
I'm looking to swap next year so if anyone is interested ......

                          Hi Colin

Yes I own apartment 15, week 23. I have owned it since 2005. I didn't go this year I rented it out but I have been there for glorius wetaher and I have alos been there hen it is wet and windy - June can be a bit unpredictable. The good thing in Italy, unlike the UK, the wet and windy weather rarely lasts a whole day.

                            Hi Plummy,

We have been to BVD 6 or 7 years on the trot and could do with a change. How would you recommend I market my unit ?

                            Colin

I recommend that you list your unit for rent here and also for a swap. MANY people would be interested in visiting the area, me included.
By putting up a classified ad here, people will know what you have and contact you. I have a week 23 in Ireland that I would be interested in swapping for Tuscany one year.
But if people don't know u have it, they can't ask about a swap or rental.

Look on the top of this page to see the link for classified ads.
