We spent the week of November 24th at Fitzpatrick Castle Holiday Homes just outside of Dublin (our second exchange into this RCI resort). It was just as great as the first time. Last time (in 2005) we took my bro and sis-in-law and stayed in a two bedroom unit. This time it was just us so we stayed in a one bedroom unit. Click on the link below for the photos. This is a wonderful area and I highly recommend Fitzpatrick Castle!

Speaking of bottles, they now offer recycling at the apartments. Bins for paper and cans are in the parking lot. No plastic recycling unfortunately. No glass bins either but if you leave your bottles and jars on the counter when you check out they will recycle those for you.

FWIW this from an RCI insider: the resort in Dublin is, as far as I know, gone, not longer in RCI.Lawren

We loved our two trades into this place but next time we go to Ireland we would spend more time in other parts of the country and less in the Dublin area.

I'm in the process of getting those other photos organized so I'll post that site when I'm done.

We didn't do too much touring on this trip since we spent some time in the west and in Cashel on our previous trip to Ireland. This time we focused just on a few things we missed on our first trip to Dublin plus a tour to Newgrange and the Wild Wicklow tour. Mostly we soaked up the atmosphere in Dublin and tried out a number of beautiful old pubs.
