Paris Museum Pass

We are going to Paris the end of April. Will be staying at the Royal Regency. Got as a trade with DAE.

Has anyone ever used the "Paris Museum Pass"?

If you plan to go to more than one museum covered by the pass, get the pass. You can avoid the lines with the pass at the more popular museums, which makes it worth it in and of itself. Suggestion for buying pass--go to a smaller place covered by the pass such as Victor Hugo's residence in the Place des Voges and buy the pass there--no lines, less hassled people. Then go on to the bigger, more popular places covered by the pass, and skip the lines.

I agree - worth it! We didn't do that for our first couple of days in Paris, and regretted the time we wasted on line at Sainte Chapelle and Versailles (and lost opportunity to see more of Versailles), before we wised up.

Another place to purchase is at a museum such as the Cluny, which usually has no lines, if you're going there anyway. The pass can actually begin on the next day after you purchase.

You'll still have to stand and wait at some security lines - but having to wait 2x before entry can take its toll on your back and legs, in addition to the lost hours and opportunities.

You can also purchase it, as well as other tickets, at an information kiosk at DeGaulle. Also, you can buy them on-line before you go!
