The Canaries belong to Spain and are therefore in the € zone. They are been overbuilt with timeshare for years, as reflected in the availibility tables in the European version of the RCI directory.
I noticed DAE has a week in Sunny beach, Bulgaria. The resort name is like Balkan Breeze Resort.
I searched Internet and found tons of UK websites offering a two bedroom for a week for only like 175 pounds.
Airfare from North America to Sunny Beach is $2200. That from London is like 275 pounds, i.e. over $500.
After factoring in airfare, Bulgaria is not attractive anymore.
I need a reason other than affordability, e.g. attractive women and men or delicious seafood, to justify the trip.

All of my local professional staff have taken their vacations at the beach in Bulgaria this summer with package deals. Personally, I am going to Croatia in a few weeks (DAE exchange). From what they tell me, the Bulgarian beaches are full of Germans as well as Brits. While I have been to Romania's Black Sea beaches, I have never been to those in Bulgaria, myself.
For Brits, the best bet to get to Bulgaria would be an LCC like Easy Jet, which would be a lot cheaper than what you quoted if bought early enough. There are probably charter flights to Bulgaria from the UK as there are from here.
