  • I Cieli di Roma - recommended or not?

    Hi!

I've just put the I Cieli di Roma (in Rome) on hold for early Oct 2007. This comes after our earlier confirmed exchange into Carpediem Assisi, so timing seems good for an extended Italian holiday.

Has anyone been to the I Cieli? Is it very far from the city centre, are transportation links easy (we don't drive). Is the timeshare shuttle convenient?

Unfortunately, couldn't find much info on the web, except for their website and 1 not-so favourable review elsewhere. We have been to Rome a couple of times before, but on short 2-3 night stays since hotels are so expensive.

Thanks in advance for your advice. Wanted to see if I should keep this or wait for something nicer (has anyone gotten Venice or the Amalfi Coast in Sept / Oct?).

    Thanks!

It's funny you posted a question about these two resorts. I hope someone has visited them recently as well since I will be at both the same two resorts come this August. I can let you know how they are at the end of August of this year.

      Hi bigfrank,

What a coincidence! Would be great to find out how your holiday experience is in August. Guess I'll be better off keeping this exchange, and cancel later if it turns out to be unfavourable.

      Thanks

That is the wat to go but If you have extra weeks keep searching. If something better comes up you just cancel but you may be losing your exchange fee.

May I ask what you traded to get Cieli di Roma? I never see it even with tiger traders, so I assume that my VEP is too low, or too high.

Your VEP is to High. If you call in they will see if it available. BTW I think you can find better. I took it because I needed to. I have been searching for better but nothing has come in.

              Hi Janie,

I used a Sheraton Vistana week, and had an ongoing search against a long list of Italian resorts, including the I Cieli. Was actually hoping for something on the Amalfi coast or in Portofino, but this was the first one offered to us.

That's interesting: Vistana has low VEP? I wouldn't have thought that it would. Thank you for the info!
