Very deceptive - stating actually that people only prefer timesharing over other methods of vacationing. Mention of the Christel DeHaan institute and the ARDA box at the bottom right makes me ever more suspicious.

I'm afraid I don't understand your take on this..
ARDA wasn't involved in this, but I agree it was funded by a developer organization in Europe..
Also, I think the phrase you are referring to as deceptive is, "Based on a detailed questionnaire completed by 33,000 respondents in 12 different countries, the survey also showed the majority of owners rated their timeshare experience over other self-catering holidays."
My interpretation of this is simply that this was another area of the survey- that the respondents preferred their timeshares to other holiday types.
I strongly believe that the vast majority of timeshare owners are satisfied with their ownerships. Most could certainly improve their experience with more education about usage and the industry- but I think of it quite like an automobile... You don't have to know how the engine works to enjoy the drive!my travel website: Vacation-Times.org.

What I find deceptive is the statement " Tatoc - survey shows 87% satisfaction rate for timeshare owners". I don't think that 87% of timeshare owners are happy about their ownership.

I think 87% could be correct fot the people who USE their timeshares. But, it would be more like 50% or less if you include the people who own but are stuck with them, never use, and can't get rid of them and just keep paying increases year after year. Look at the number of complaints on the net and all the cases in court. They sure are not for everyone !
