I just looked at over 30 resorts listed throughout Italy in II.....I looked quickly, but didn't see any mention of AI/half-board at any of them.

My hunch is that these mandatory half-board weeks in RCI aren't timeshare-owner-owned, but hotel-developer-owned. I bet RCI initiated these deals, like they've done with the Hyatts and other hotels in the US.
Not saying there's anything appealing about these as exchange weeks, I wouldn't do it. BTW, you could spend a couple of nights there and skip RCI. From La Ferriera's website: "Euro 80 per person per day include accommodation in one of our wonderful apartment, breakfast, dinner a la carta to sample the genuine and Tuscan dishes."

Looks like they enforce the half-board even for people who booked through RCI as what they thought was a "regular exchange."
