  • Stouts Hill on hold - looking for info.

    Resort Name Stouts Hill
    Resort Id 0939
    Location Gloucestershire, England
    Unit Type 2 Bedrooms
    Max Occ/Privacy 6/6
    Kitchen Full

I have this on hold - and RCI won't let me back in to look - I am wondering what the 6/6 configuration is?
Could someone check and copy and paste that configuration info for all the units here.

I am reading Lawren's reviews and think this might be just the thing to follow our week in Dublin.

    Any input appreciated.
    Pat

    Looks fantastic!

RCI's Resort Directory just says 6/6, not sure of what the configuration is. Maybe it's in the direct website: Stouts Hill Cotswold Holiday Resort - Home Page

Thanks Maria, that is what I am looking at now.
It seems Lawren had the ONE 2BR that was a sleep 5/4 private.
All the others seem to be 6/6.
From one of the posts, it seems u get a unit number from RCI so u will know if u r in the Main House or the new Mews Building.
The Main Building looks just beautiful, I wonder if I call them tomorrow if they will give me the unit number? There are only 14 units in the resort - it really looks lovely and well located.

I will think on this overnight.

Since I am home on a Saturday night with nothing better to do, can you please explain the difference in bedding between a 2 bedroom 5/4 and a 6/6, and why you would prefer a 5/4 ?

YES they will give you the unit number. I think "most" 6/6 are the mews units and large. I had the one that was a 5/6 in the main building. Queen in the master, 2 twins in the second and a fold out for a small chile in the dressing area. Only one full bath.

          Gotta stay there pat...loved it.

That would do it for me! So, Pat, when are you going?

No G, I don't prefer the 5/4, I prefer the 6/6 but I clicked on the hold button before I thoroughly read the descriptions.
Units 11-14 are in the modern Mews Building - attached townhouse style building with 1.5 baths.
The Main House has 4 1BRs, 1 studio and 3 2BR sleep 6 and then Lawren's' oddball unit!
Let me check again - but a saw at least one of those had 2 full baths.....
              BRB

              In the main building, apt 1,2,4 are 2BR, 2Ba sleep 6...and Lawren's # 6 has 2BR, 1Ba sleep 5
The mews #10-14 have 2BRs and a full bath upstairs and a Living/dining/kitchen and 1/2 bath on the first floor.

I have a unit on hold for June 2011

I dragged out my eyewitness Travel Guide to Great Britain and I am hooked!
I was interested in a 2Ba unit in case we travel with friends, it is nice to have 2 full baths.

It really seems to have so much to do in the area.
I have not been to Stonehenge in 30 years - and Salisbury Catherdral....and Bath...and I have never been to Wales.
                      Yup, it's a go!

You will enjoy your stay there. We went to Bath, Gloucester, Marlborough (there are more standing stones near there with no fence to keep people out). Also took a day trip via train from Stroud to London.

This is one location that DS wants to return to. He loved England. Next time I will stay 2 or 3 nights in London either before or after.

I'm delighted to report that the building works at Gloucester Docks has now been completed. I made the mistake of suggesting the Docks as a good location to meet up with Lawren. I hadn't been down there for some time and didn't realise that it resembled a bomb site rather than any kind of tourist attraction.
